Detailed Description

A resource is a specific instance of a resource supported by a subsystem monitor library. Subsystems can have multiple instances of a resource each with a its own set of statistics. Resource id's are assigned by the subsystem. Some resources may not be active at the time of an inquiry but may become active as system configuration change events take place.
